Group hypnotherapy

Coming summer 2024, group hypnotherapy harnesses the power of collective healing and transformation. I believe hypnotherapy works best with understanding your mind and how it works in relation to the change you want. The contents of each group session is thoroughly researched ensuring that techniques are relevant and utilised in a way that produces the most reliable, long lasting effects.

Each participant brings their own unique insights and wisdom allowing others to realise that their struggles and challenges are not unique to them alone. This can be very liberating and validating alone.

These group sessions are part of a program where typically three of these sessions are run. They are designed to be attended in full as each session varies to create a life long lasting change. The sessions consist of education of the brain, of how our mind works in relation to the subject, the subject matter itself as well as plenty of hypnosis. The hypnosis will not only focus on the change but structures that help towards that change such as motivation, limiting beliefs, confidence in change and so on.

Each session is £15 for 1.5-2 hours. There will be 3 sessions per program.

How to prepare for your session

There are a few things to do in preparation to get the most out of your hypnotherapy session.

  1. Make sure you have a space ready for your session where you won't be interrupted for at least an hour.
  2. Make sure that space is providing you with reliable internet signal. Hard wiring your computer with an ethernet cable is more reliable than WiFi. You can check your internet speed by hitting the Google 'G' to the left and selecting 'Run speed test'. It's recommended you have 10-25 mbps download & 3 mbps upload speeds for Zoom video calls.
  3. If you don't have a Zoom account, set one up in advance and try a test run with a friend. You can hit the Zoom logo to the left to find the download you need. You can use Zoom on a smart phone, laptop or pad. For best positioning of the camera, a laptop works best as it holds position perfectly.
  4. Using headphones can really help with the sense of privacy and improve sound quality. If you are using wireless headphones, ensure they are fully charged. Wired headphones can be more reliable.
  5. You need to be seen throughout the session. This doesn't need to be up close or in really good quality, but enough that there can be normal interaction and reactions can be taken note of. See image provided to give an idea of good positioning. If using a phone or pad, make sure it is securely propped in position. If the device slips, it will cause interaction issues and affect the session.
  6. A comfortable chair is ideal ensuring it is stable. It's best that your feet are comfortably on the floor and your hands in your lap. As you will be mostly staying still, you might want to consider warmer clothes or a blanket.
  7. You may record the session if you please. This can be used for self hypnosis thereafter.
